Privacy Policy

The Company respects the privacy rights of the users of the Site.  We want you to understand what information we collect from our Site users and how we use the information we collect.

 

1. Information We Collect. 

 

If you apply for a grant through the Site, you will be asked to submit various personal information (“Personal Identifying Information”). Additionally, if you are accessing parts of the Site that are password-protected, then (i) once you submit your password, the Site will recognize who you are and collect all information that you submit, including all electronic information, and (ii) any information collected about you from the Site may be associated with other identifying information we have about you.  It is always your choice whether to provide personal information. We may also use cookies and/or record the IP addresses of computers using the Website.

 

2. How We Use the Information. 

 

We may use the information we collect about you (including without limitation the Personal Identifying Information) in connection with the Company’s mission and the services outlined on the Site, including evaluating grant applications, providing information to our current and potential partners and donors, and contacting you.  We may share any information we collect with our subsidiaries and affiliates to the extent they may be involved with the Site or performing any services we may offer or you may request or to facilitate marketing, fundraising or other communications with you.  We may provide your name and contact information (without compensation to us) to third parties who provide financial literacy and other services made available to Site users from time to time.  You understand that such third parties have their own terms of use and privacy policies governing the use of such information and shall look solely to such third parties for compliance with such policies.

 

Your e-mail address and contact information is used to communicate with you about services you request.  If you choose to let us do so, Company and its affiliates and subsidiaries may also use your e-mail address to notify you of new features or services available on the Website or events or services available through Company or its subsidiaries and affiliates or to facilitate fundraising efforts. If you do not wish to receive these e-mail notices, you may opt out of this service.

 

We may use your information to statistically analyze the use of our site, improve our content and product offerings, and customize the Site’s content and services to better meet your needs. Your Personal Identifying Information is not used to monitor your activities on our site. We do however, disclose certain non-identifiable  information to third parties about the users of our services.

3.  Security.  

 

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed as one hundred percent (100%) secure; but Company makes reasonable efforts to protect your information. 

 

4.  Other Websites. 

 

You should be aware that when using the Site, you could be directed to other sites that are beyond our control.  We encourage you to review the privacy policy of such sites before disclosing any Personal Identifying Information.

 

5.  Children’s Privacy. 

 

The Site is not targeted toward, and we do not seek or desire to collect information from, children under the age of 13. Therefore, we will not knowingly request information from persons under such age. Please do not provide any Personal Identifying Information to us for any reason unless you are at least 13 years of age, and please caution your children not to do so. Consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, if a child under 13 has provided Personal Identifying Information to us through the Site without verifiable parental consent, a parent or guardian may inform us at the address above, and we will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete such information, subject to applicable law and this Policy.

 

6.  International Use. 

 

The Site is available only to United States residents using the Site from within the United States.  The Company makes no claims that the Content or the Site are appropriate or may be viewed or used outside the United States. Furthermore, our databases are located in the United States. By sending us your data, you consent to its transfer to, storage, and use within the United States. Access to the Site from countries or territories where such access is illegal is prohibited. Those who access the Site from outside the United States do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws, rules and regulations.

 

The Company uses commercially reasonable efforts to process all Personal Identifying Information in compliance with applicable law, including, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). If you are accessing the Site from the European Union, you may have the following rights regarding your Personal Identifying Information:

 

Access: You may obtain from the Company access to your Personal Identifying Information (including confirmation from the Company if your Personal Identifying Information is being processed by the Company).

Portability: You may request that the Company transfer your Personal Identifying Information to you or a third party.

 

The Company holds your Personal Identifying Information and uses it as described in this Privacy Policy and will use reasonable measures to ensure that your Personal Identifying Information is only transferred to third parties who also maintain at least the standard of protection required under the GDPR.  The Company considers that it has a legitimate interest in collecting and processing your information. The Company exists to educate and/or financially assist certain individuals.  Pursuing these goals is not in conflict with your rights. This provides the Company’s lawful basis to use your Personal Identifying Information, within the limitations set forth herein.
